Our Story
Tropical Camping was born from a simple yet powerful idea: to create a space where families could step away from the noise of modern life and rediscover the joy of simple living.
The vision began with my father, an ex-serviceman with a deep passion for nature and gardening. Having grown up in simpler times, he often spoke of his childhood spent climbing trees, swimming in streams, and falling asleep under the stars. As he watched his grandchildren growing up surrounded by technology, he dreamed of creating a place where they could experience the same rustic, nature-connected lifestyle that had shaped his character and values.
His military discipline, combined with his reverence for the natural world, laid the foundation for what Tropical Camping has become. He envisioned not just a campsite, but a sanctuary where children could learn the lessons that only nature can teach – patience, resilience, and wonder.
As lifelong nature enthusiasts who call Pune home, we noticed how disconnected many city dwellers had become - parents glued to their phones, children to their tablets, and families rarely spending quality time together without distractions.
We transformed his vision into reality, creating a place just beyond the city limits where people could safely experience the healing power of nature, especially those who had never camped before or had young children. Each aspect of Tropical Camping carries his influence – from our vegetable garden that showcases his love for growing food to our emphasis on simple, meaningful experiences over luxury.
